Toddler (1-3 years)

When most parents think of this stage, they often immediately think of the “terrible twos!” Although this stage can also be quite exhausting for parents, it is far from terrible! In fact, it’s terrific! To experience it as terrific, you need to be armed with strategies to manage behavior that pops up as your little one establishes their personality, to tackle new skills like toileting, and to address common issues like picky eating. So much happens between the ages of 1 and 3 as your baby turns from an infant into a full blown toddler, and you can have a direct and positive impact on all of it. The growth and development during this stage is amazing to watch and be a part of! Rest assured that your hard work will pay off.  Laying a strong foundation for positive behavior, continued language development and independent skills like toileting will be key for your family to not just survive, but to thrive in the toddler stage.
